BEFORE YOU APPLY
A few things you probably want to know.
I keep my client roster low to ensure every client gets deep, hands-on, high-touch support. As such, I only have 12-15 spots available per year (typically 1-2 each month). Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, and many of my clients enroll to work with me well ahead of when they want to start the process to ensure their spot is saved when they are ready to launch.
During the majority of the year, my coaching hours are typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am and 2pm PST. From late May to early August, my coaching hours are typically between 5 am and 9 am PST. Additional hours can be added for urgent situations — usually related to interviewing or negotiations.
You need to be able to prioritize time on your calendar to do the work and show up for support. Ideally, you'll have at least 6 months of runway — this reduces pressure and helps you reach a better outcome.
Absolutely. Employed job seekers have slightly different needs. They often need to build a new network and update their positioning to match their target role, while also running a stealthy search that doesn't alert their employer that they are looking - it's not an impossible task by any means, but it doesn't require good strategy and finesse. You will receive the high-touch support and insights to dig into the nuances of your unique search and ensure that your strategy meets your needs, not someone else's.
Our clients' average time to land is 4.76 months, with a range of 2 to 12 months. Your timeline will depend on your situation, your target, and the effort you put into the process.
One thing we've seen over and over: starting proactively makes the search go faster. Clients who begin with 6 to 12 months of runway search from a position of strength, and they tend to land sooner. Waiting until you need something in 1 to 3 months adds pressure that slows everything down, and costs leverage on the offer you eventually take.
